Job Summary River Birch LLC is seeking a Chemist to support operations at our Injection Well Facility, focusing on the classification and analysis of non-hazardous waste streams, ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards. Additionally, this role will involve identifying, managing, and optimizing chemical components within client waste streams for enhanced oil production applications.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct chemical analysis and classification of non-hazardous waste materials to determine suitability for injection well disposal.
Identify, extract, and optimize chemical components from client waste streams that can be repurposed for oil production.
Review and interpret TCLP, SDS, and other chemical data to confirm compliance with EPA, state, and local regulations.
Assist in preparing and reviewing waste profiles, including the RBL IW Generator Waste Profile forms.
Perform laboratory testing, including pH, specific gravity, viscosity, and compatibility assessments to ensure proper waste handling and chemical reuse potential.
Collaborate with operations and oil industry partners to develop chemical solutions that enhance oil recovery and production efficiency.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance reports.
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, best practices, and advancements in oil recovery chemicals and non-hazardous waste management.
The hiring department will conduct interviews of qualified individuals prior to requesting a criminal background check, and no job application submitted prior to such interview shall inquire into an applicant's criminal history.
