Position Purpose:
The Cell Tower Technician is responsible for implementation & execution of all tower & RF related construction activities performed on all carrier wireless sites
Responsibilities/Duties/Knowledge:
- Installation & maintenance of antennas, radios & additional equipment on towers, rooftops and other sites.
- PIM, Sweep & Fiber testing.
- Installing hybrid trunks, fiber, over voltage protection, remote radios, wiring, fiber cleaning, and trouble shooting.
- Installation of RF antenna system components, fiber, power, coax, connectors, grounding, mounts, weather proofing, hardware, etc.
- Must have the ability to read construction drawings, prepare for the build, gather materials and institute the proper installation techniques necessary.
- Maintain inventory and materials on site for each project.
- Identify & prepare necessary equipment for each project including cabling, ropes, blocks, harness and other gear as required for each task.
- Provide all deliverables for closeout documentation for each project milestone to your foreman.
- Maintain all certifications and training necessary for assigned work.
- Maintain all tools and equipment daily.
- Must be able to work as part of a team with strong communication skills and interpersonal relationships.
- Basic hand tools and appropriate outdoor clothing, preferred.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in installation of RF antenna system components, fiber, power, coax, connectors, grounding, mounts, weather proofing, hardware, etc.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and acceptable driving record, preferred.
- Climbing experience and certifications preferred.
- DC/AC electrical experience
- Ability to troubleshoot and correct mechanical or electrical connections
- Able to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to travel and work for extended periods in various locations.
