Job Description: This position primarily manages accounts of patients with Attorneys and the secondary function of assisting Corporate Management in general.
The Account Executive’s role is to oversee a portfolio of patients with Attorneys, conduct case status updates, and ensure that all outstanding charges of the patients have been paid and settled. This shall all be conducted by liaising and coordinating with the law firms handling the patients’ cases.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Operate as the lead point of contact of Attorneys and Law Firms for all matters relating to a specific body of patient accounts.
- Maximize payment or settlement of outstanding charges.
- Respond to requests for medical records, bill ledgers, and other information promptly.
- Prepare monthly reports.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to identify and grow opportunities within the territories.
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
- Assist in minor office tasks such as answering the phone, organizing invoices, organizing supplies, managing the mail, etc.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in sales or business administration preferred
- Experience in a health care setting is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Solid foundation in MS Office (particularly MS Excel)
- Typing speed of at least 50 wpm
- Ability to learn to use the EMR, CMS, and other new software quickly, and to use them efficiently
- Ability to understand billing and health insurance flows and processes
- Ability to deliver client-focused solutions
- Ability to foster client relationships
