Position : Optometric Technician

Location : River City Vision Center

Schedule : Full-Time

Compensation : $17.50-$19.00 (Based on Experience)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to support our doctors and team in delivering outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with advanced technology, and is committed to helping our practice run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare patients for examinations by utilizing diagnostic equipment, including :

Autorefractor

iCare tonometer

Optomap imaging

Optovue OCT

Handheld ERG

Visual field testing equipment

Reschedule and coordinate testing appointments for patients as needed.

Follow up with patient referrals and ensure timely communication with referring providers.

Conduct follow-up calls with patients to address outstanding concerns or appointments.

Assist other staff members with tasks to maintain the flow and efficiency of the office.

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Qualifications :

Previous experience in an optometric or healthcare setting is preferred but not required (training available for the right candidate).

Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members.

Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and technology, or willingness to learn.

Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
