River Crest Country Club is seeking to add full-time Ala Carte Cooks to its Culinary team. Located five miles from downtown Fort Worth, River Crest is Fort Worth’s oldest and most storied country club.
River Crest offers an excellent Compensation & Benefits Package as well as a great work environment. The pay range for this position is $18 - $23 per hour based on verifiable experience. Our comprehensive benefits program includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability plans, YMCA membership and Flexible Spending Plans (FSA). These benefits begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment.

JOB SUMMARY
The Ala Carte Cook is responsible for preparing food for our two ala carte restaurants. Will be working with the ala carte team and culinary management assisting other cooks and delivering food in a fast pace environment.
QUALIFICATIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of six months experience in a kitchen

Certification: Any food handling permits as required by state or local law

Must be able to work weekends, holidays, day or night shifts and overtime as necessary

Must have a basic knowledge of food and its cooking methods
-
Must be able to follow recipes and create consistent, high quality dishes in a timely manner per the Club’s culinary standard

Must be able to prepare food items as requested, including special requests, in a timely manner
-
Must be able to determine food and supply needs based on business requirements

Must have food presentation skills

Must have knowledge of how to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

Must have organization skills of kitchen and equipment

Must have knowledge of good safety and cleaning/sanitation practices

Must have positive communication skills with the ability to use those skills to interact with a large culinary team. Use of feedback to correct food quality and issues in a professional manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / FUNCTIONS / TASKS

Responsible for following recipes with fresh product that meets the Club’s high food standard

Quality Assurance - Check all prepped items and food before it is served to ensure freshness and the highest food standards

Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

Determine food and supply quantities based on business needs. Restock items as needed throughout the shift.

Responsible for meeting daily timelines

Clean and maintain station by practicing good safety and sanitation practices and follow all health code standards

Perform and complete other tasks as assigned by the Sous Chef in a timely and attractive manner

Responsible for working effectively with the culinary team
