River Crest Country Club is seeking to add Full-Time and Part-Time Host/Hostess to its Service team. The pay range for this position is $15 - $18 per hour based on verifiable experience.
Located five miles from downtown Fort Worth, River Crest is Fort Worth's oldest and most storied country club.

JOB SUMMARY
The Host/Hostess is responsible for helping to maintain the dining rooms through seating, taking drink orders, replenishing items needed by the members. The Host/hostess will adhere to the procedures, policies and guidelines set forth by River Crest Country Club for a high quality and efficient operation.
QUALIFICATIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and tolerating frequent interruptions.
- Must present a neat and clean personal appearance.
- Must have timely, reliable attendance.
- Must have a professional, courteous & respectful attitude toward members, guests, vendors, co-workers and supervisors.
- Education Required: Food Handlers Certification; TABC if 18 years old (within 30-days of hire; will provide)
- Knowledge/Skills/Language Required:
- English language skills. Must be able to clearly communicate verbally with members, guests,
supervisors and co-workers
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what members/guests are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate
- Service Orientation - Actively looking for ways to help members/guests
- Social Perceptiveness - Being aware of members/guests reactions
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / FUNCTIONS / TASKS
- Provide immediate attention to all Members and guests upon seating
- Distribute menus
- Fill glasses with ice water while guests review menu choices
- Answer menu questions
- Remove soiled dishes
- Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
- Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by Manager
- Reports to the supervisor to receive instructions of any special duties or events
- Ensures that members and their guests receive immediate attention and service upon arrival
- Observes all club policies in dealing with members and non-members in club usage
- Ensures that all established service procedures and standards are adhered to and performed with the emphasis on giving superior service to the members
- Responsible for assisting server assistants in bussing and resetting tables
- Keep track of table/covers for servers in a fair and reasonable manner
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
- Use of hands and arms to handle, position, move materials, and manipulate things.
- Ability to push, pull or lift up to 40 lbs
- Work in a fast paced and noisy environment
