Description

River Crest Country Club is actively hiring Pool Servers for the 2025 summer season.

Located five miles from downtown Fort Worth, River Crest is Fort Worth's oldest and most storied country club.

The pay for this position is a combination of an $8.50 hourly rate plus 15% Service Charge. For the average Pool Server this combination equates to approximately $15-$17 per hour.

JOB SUMMARY

The Pool Server is responsible for ensuring that all Members food and beverage needs are satisfied while dining or drinking outside. The ideal candidate will have previous food and beverage service experience, a strong work ethic, and a positive disposition. We will provide all training necessary to new servers.

• Education Required: Food Handlers Certification; TABC if 18 years old (within 30-days of hire; will provide)

• Knowledge/Skills/Language Required:

• English language skills. Must be able to clearly communicate verbally with Members, guests,

supervisors and co-workers

• Active Listening - Giving full attention to what Members/guests are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate

• Abilities/Work Activities Required:

• Perform General Physical Activities - Performing physical activities that require considerable use of

your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking,

stooping, and handling of materials.

• Able to comfortably lift 35 - 40 lbs
• Handling and Moving Objects - Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, moving materials, and manipulating things.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel and stoop for up to 8 hours

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / FUNCTIONS / TASKS

• Set up drink stations and maintain supplies
• Provide immediate attention to all Members and guests upon seating
• Distribute menus
• Fill glasses with ice water while guests review menu choices
• Answer menu questions
• Suggest wine, beer, & cocktails
• Present specials and suggesting menu items
• Take orders and put in POS computer system in a timely manner
• Turn orders in to kitchen and inform about special cooking instructions
• Assemble food onto tray
• Serve meals using proper service techniques
• Check back to ensure Member and guest satisfaction and replenish water as necessary
• Remove soiled dishes
• Suggest and serve dessert, coffee and after dinner drinks
• Present bill
• Handle all charge tickets
• Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur
• Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by Manager
• Reports to the supervisor to receive instructions of any special duties or events
• Completes opening and closing duties as assigned by supervisor
• Completes all service duties in accordance with the guidelines for high standards of service set forth by RCCC
• Greets Members and their guests by last name whenever possible
• Ensures that Members and their guests receive immediate attention and service upon arrival
• Observes all club policies in dealing with Members and non-Members in club usage
• Informs supervisor of any complaints or problems that occur throughout the shift
• Ensures that all established service procedures and standards are adhered to and performed with the emphasis on giving superior service to the Members

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
• Use of hands and arms to handle, position, move materials, and manipulate things
• Ability to push, pull or lift to 40 lbs
• Must be able to perform duties in excessive heat and inclement weather
• Be able to work in direct sunlight and be responsible to protect themselves with coverage and/or sunscreen
