What are the responsibilities and job description for the D118 - APEX - GAP - Clinician Non-Licensed, APEX Putman & Baldwin position at River Edge Behavioral Health?
River Edge is seeking experienced mental health therapists to offer behavioral health services within local schools via the Georgia APEX Program. Therapists will provide services to children aged 5 and up in elementary, middle, and high school settings within the selected counties. We are looking for candidates who want to build their experience with a wide range of behavioral health conditions in a professional atmosphere at an organization striving to be a leader in the nation in a growing program!
Location/Schedule: Based out of our offices located at 175 Emery Hwy, Macon GA 31217 but providing services in the Putman/Baldwin County School District. Typically, Monday through Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm, but open to flexible schedules.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides individual and family therapy to individuals with a mental health and/or substance abuse disorder in clinic, out of clinic, or via telehealth to youth (and family) primarily in a school setting.
Completes assessments, treatment planning, and obtains authorizations for services to be provided.
Completes required documentation in a timely fashion in electronic medical record.
Performs commitment determinations and/or executes orders of involuntary commitments and provides crisis intervention as needed.
Attends staff meetings, treatment team meetings, and clinical supervision.
Acts as organizational representative attending community and school functions to increase access and knowledge of services.
Reduces stigma of mental health by educating school personnel, families, and community members about mental health
Refers client or family to community resources to assist in recovery from mental health, substance abuse, or other areas of functioning.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing set standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Adheres to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, ASO, DBHDD, and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) standards.
Updates job knowledge by maintaining licensure, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations, etc.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage & family counseling or rehab counseling, and eligibility to be licensed (LAPC/LPC, LMSW/LCSW, or LAMFT/LMFT). Must pursue licensure upon hire.
Must have a clean driving record and be willing to use your personal vehicle to travel to schools within the surrounding counties.
Associate or full clinical license preferred (LCSW/LMSW, LPC/APC, LMFT/LAMFT)
