What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at River Edge Behavioral Health?
River Edge is looking to fill the position of Program Manager with/at our Child & Adolescent Outpatient Services at our Emery Hwy location. The Child & Adolescent Outpatient Services Program Manager will be responsible for the coordination and oversight of behavioral health services for our minor clients. The Program Manager will also supervise clinicians within the scope of the APEX program, communicating with referral sources, school staff, and parents. They will ensure programs are clinically efficient and fiscally responsible. They will also be responsible for hiring, training, and managing staff under direct supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and implement compliance with policies/procedures/guidelines for all funding/credentialing bodies (DBHDD, Medicaid, CARF, and more).
- Provide individual and family therapy in and out of clinics to youth (and family) mainly in schools with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.
- Complete behavior health assessments for child and adolescent clients seen in the clinic.
- Monitor budgets, authorizations, billing, staffing patterns, and productivity and make suggestions/improvements accordingly.
- Implement changes in program standards as required or needed.
- Ensure all reports are completed and submitted appropriately.
- Monitor training records and ensure training for staff meets requirements.
- Attend and participate in all required meetings and committees.
- Professionally meet/network with appropriate community partners.
- Provide clinical supervision to assigned agency staff.
- Help to plan and coordinate agency holiday and back-to-school events for clients.
- Complete weekly timesheets for designated staff.
- Attends leadership meetings.
Qualifications Needed (education and/or experience):
- Acceptable background check/drug screen.
- Acceptable references.
- Master's degree in the behavioral health field, full licensure such as LAMFT, LMFT, LAPC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW .
- At least four years of providing behavioral health services is preferred.
- At least four years of community service board experience is preferred.
- At least two years of relevant supervisory experience is preferred.
- Must have knowledge and experience with the chronically mentally ill population.
- Must have the ability to design, develop, and modify programming.
- Must have strong clinical skills and supervisory skills.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must multi-task and remain organized.
- Must be able to interact with community partners and give presentations detailing River Edge services.
