River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a weekend nurse supervisor to join our team!
RN preferred for staff education.
Essential Functions of Position
Observe and record patient behavior.
Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
Collect patient health history if applicable.
Consult and educate patients and their families on treatment plans.
Administer medication, change wound dressings, and care for other treatment options.
Read and interpret patient information and make treatment decisions when appropriate.
Consult with supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for patients.
Direct and supervise nurses and nurse assistants.
Research ways to improve healthcare processes and improve patient outcomes.
Ensure scheduled staff are available per shift.
Assist in dining room during meal hours.
Ensure medications / supplies are available on each hall.
Check for completion of Medicare charting for each shift.
Check the general appearance of residents, rooms, and ensure that call lights are being answered in a timely manner.
Check previous days' progress notes for any follow up needed.
Adress any family concerns.
