Occupational Therapist's Job Responsibilities :
- Helps residents by providing rehabilitative and skilled therapy maintenance services to persons with mental, physical, psychosocial, or developmental impairments.
- Maintains expected productivity / efficiency set by the Director of Rehab or Administrator.
- Maintains accurate and timely patients' occupational therapy records by recording resident’s progress and daily notes under federal, state, and insurance guidelines.
- Records accurate billing information of occupational therapy services rendered.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following facility guidelines and procedures.
- Helps keep therapy equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs as needed.
- Serves and protects occupational therapy practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Enhances occupational therapy practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
