Job Summary:
The Home Health Aide (HHA) provides essential personal care and support services to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, and promoting overall well-being. The HHA follows the care plan set by healthcare professionals to help clients maintain independence while receiving quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support mobility, including transfers, positioning, and ambulation assistance.
- Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation based on the client’s needs.
- Assist with medication reminders (as directed by a supervisor).
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, or environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Completion of an approved Home Health Aide training program.
- Current CPR certification (preferred).
- Ability to lift and move clients as needed.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (if required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor.
- Must have a clean BCI (Background Check Investigation).
