The Guest Service Agent (GSA) is the first point of contact for our guests and plays a vital role in ensuring a positive and memorable experience. The GSA is responsible for providing exceptional guest service, including efficient registration and check-out, managing phone operations, and handling mail and messages. This position requires a friendly and professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Efficiently and accurately process guest check-ins and check-outs, including handling payments and issuing room keys.
- Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, providing information about the hotel and surrounding area, taking reservations, and handling guest inquiries.
- Manage guest mail, messages, and packages, ensuring timely delivery and accurate record-keeping.
- Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and effectively, escalating to management when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and dining options.
- Assist guests with special requests, such as arranging transportation or making reservations.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel policies and procedures.
- Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Required:
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
o Strong customer service orientation.
o Basic computer skills.
o Ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Preferred:
o Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
o Familiarity with hotel reservation systems.
o High school diploma or equivalent
