Role will ensure the Ice Arena and equipment on premises is maintained in proper working order, perform ice resurfacing and general building maintenance.
This position is part-time 20-30 hours a week, shifts would include Saturday and/or Sundays and weeknights. A firm weekend commitment is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs of facility, interior systems, and equipment; including minor electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Understand and follow all safety protocols and state mandated air quality and use of chemical standards
- Operate ice resurfacing machine (Zamboni) and other ice related equipment. Perform general maintenance of resurfacing machine and other ice related equipment.
- Perform opening and/or closing procedures to ensure the Koronis Ice Arena is safe and secure
- Perform and/or monitor routine janitorial and cleaning duties to maintain sanitation and appearance at the ice arena (locker rooms, bathrooms, bleachers, hallways, and lobby)
- Perform skate sharpening
Qualifications
- Zamboni/Ice Resurfacing Experience preferred
- High School diploma or GED
- One to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid Driver's License
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
