Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of the RiverLodge Assisted Living facility. You will be responsible for performing routine repairs, maintaining building systems, and addressing any maintenance needs to provide a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents. We are looking for a compassionate individual who enjoys working in a senior care environment and is willing to contribute to the smooth operation of our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility and equipment to ensure everything is in working order.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of special events or activities within the facility.
- Ensure that all maintenance work is completed in a safe and timely manner.
- Be a friendly, approachable presence for residents and staff, offering assistance when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work orders and any required documentation.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Dependable and reliable; must be available to work a full-time schedule.
- Trustworthy with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations.
- Excellent people skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to interact with elderly residents.
- A compassionate and caring approach to working with seniors.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
