River Oaks Country Club is seeking enthusiastic, motivated and qualified coaches to train our athletes during our summer swim team programs. Pre-season training begins on April 1st and the season will run through the end of June.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and implement workouts for athletes that cater to needs of individuals and the group as a whole
- Setting training goals and objectives for teams and individuals
- Give global and individual feedback to athletes
- Lead and motivate participants
- Evaluate participant performance and progress
- Educating swimmers on water safety and life saving principles
- Teaching current and industry leading strokes and techniques
- Ensure the pool or training area is neat and free of hazards
- Respond to emergencies in pool or poolside in tandem with the facility safety team
- Attend all practice and competitions with the team.
- Assist Head Swim coach with any other duties, tasks needed for practices, swim meets and pool operations
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of swim coaching experience or was a swim athlete for 2 years at the high school or collegiate level
- Possess in-depth knowledge of all four strokes (Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, Butterfly)
- Good knowledge of health and nutrition
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Ability to demonstrate swimming skills
- Ability to work outside in the poolside area up to 95% of the time, exposed to sunlight, wet and humid conditions, and heat occasionally exceeding 100 degrees
- Ability to spend long periods of time standing
