River Oaks Country Club is looking for a Tennis Court Maintenance Laborer. This position reports to the Tennis Court Maintenance Foreman and is in a team of 5. We have 16 tennis courts at the Club so there is a lot to do, and the work is varied. This is a full-time job. Your day typically starts at 6 am. Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays is critical.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Keeps court tapes, nets, fences and gates in good condition.
- Blows sidewalks; empties trash from court and facility receptacles.
- Blows leaves and cleans terrace areas, debris and dust from surface of hard courts.
- Trims hedges, grass and plant growth around tennis areas.
- Tunes, changes oil, greases, and fuels maintenance machines and equipment.
- Aides in carpentry, plumbing and electrical repair where qualified.
- Hand water grass, hedges, and shrubbery and clay courts.
- Waters, rolls, drags surface, and sweeps lines of clay courts.
- Builds up low spots, shaves high spots, dusts, (plugs, feathers material) on clay courts.
- Applies calcium chloride on clay courts.
- Maintains court coolers, ice chest, and tennis shoe cleaners.
- Replenishes supplies such as ice, towels, and cups.
- Cleans court drainage gutters, drains, and catch basins; installs, takes down, and repairs court windscreens.
- Arranges for any special machine maintenance or repair that requires outside resources.
Qualifications
- Enjoys working in a team; Is easy to approach.
- Enjoys working outside for many hours at a time in most weather conditions.
- Detail oriented, organized and efficient.
- Able to work without direct supervision.
- Able to speak at least basic English.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
- Ensure adherence to quality and safety expectations and standards.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
