What are the responsibilities and job description for the Helping Hands position at River Ridge Living Center?
River Ridge Living Center is a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Amsterdam, NY.
We are looking for applicants who are sincerely interested in becoming Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs). River Ridge Living Center will be conducting classes for CNAs throughout the year. The next class starts in the Fall.
You will start out as a Helping Hand, which entails working with our Nursing Staff to help our residents on the wing. This may involve passing out trays, answering call lights, making beds, or doing one-on-one work with our residents. While attending classes for C NA at our facility, you will be paid.
Job Summary:
- Assist with daily delivering meals to patients, feeding and providing plenty of fresh water, as well as extra nourishment between meals
- Help patients with personal hygiene. Provide patients with bedpans, help with baths, shampoos, and showers
- Documents objective information related to patient care.
- Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.
- Must be upbeat, energetic, enthusiastic, and have a caring personality
- Enjoy working with the elderly
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
2 years as PCA/HHA
Must be kind and respectful
