Key Resposibilities
Facility Maintenance
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all maintenance and repair work in the nursing home, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building upkeep.
- Ensure all equipment and systems are in good working order and comply with state and federal regulations.
- Regular facility inspections are conducted to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
Team Management
- Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently and safely.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to extend the life of equipment and reduce downtime.
- Manage the maintenance budget, including negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers for materials and services.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure the facility complies with all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Maintain records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and large projects, ensuring they adhere to safety standards and timelines.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for power outages, natural disasters, and other emergencies.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
