Key Resposibilities
Facility Maintenance
Plan, schedule, and oversee all maintenance and repair work in the nursing home, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building upkeep.
Ensure all equipment and systems are in good working order and comply with state and federal regulations.
Regular facility inspections are conducted to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
Team Management
Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring they perform their duties efficiently and safely.
Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to extend the life of equipment and reduce downtime.
Manage the maintenance budget, including negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers for materials and services.
Safety and Compliance
Ensure the facility complies with all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
Maintain records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and large projects, ensuring they adhere to safety standards and timelines.
Develop and implement emergency response plans for power outages, natural disasters, and other emergencies.

Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Experience working in a healthcare setting is highly desirable.
