Job Summary:
Supports the Finance department's daily operations. Responsible for leading/supporting daily operations in the Finance department, completing the firm’s financials, maintaining shareholder general ledgers, and ensuring smooth financial processes.
Reports To: Manager, Finance
Location: Louisville, KY
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (In-office Monday– Thursday; Remote Friday)
Status: Full-time
A Typical Day Involves:
  • Partnering with the Finance Manager to create and update financial collateral for firm leadership to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Creating the firm’s monthly financials, associated accounting processes, and reporting.
  • Completing key accounting functions, including payables, receivables, and bank reconciliations.
  • Leading components of the annual audit and budget processes.
  • Preparing and analyzing financial reports, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Revenue Summaries, and shareholder reporting.
  • Assisting in creating and managing the IBG income statement.
  • Preparing accurate client fees and commission payments.
  • Leading and executing special projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the firm and the Finance department.
  • Training and mentoring interns and junior team members as needed.
What We Are Looking For:
Knowledge:
  • Foundational knowledge of the asset management industry.
  • Working knowledge of, and demonstrated appreciation for, RRAM’s Investment Business Groups’ (IBGs) investment strategies, the roles and responsibilities of each Business Support Group (BSG), established Organizational Beliefs, and shareholder reporting.
  • Strong understanding of, and commitment to, firm culture.
  • Strong understanding of Accounting & Finance principles and GAAP.
  • Knowledge of financial systems and software such as Bill.com, Concur, APX, Advent Revenue Center, and XERO.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Familiarity with financial technologies, efficiency tools, and automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of VBA, Python, Power BI, or database management is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint and/or MicrosoftTeams is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for financial systems and processes.
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate across departments.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train and develop junior staff.
Education, Credentials & Attributes:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Depending upon the credentials and experience of candidates who apply for this role, we will either hire an individual who is qualified as a coordinator (more entry level) or a specialist. A specialist has additional years of experience and would be eligible for a higher starting base salary.
