Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Coffee Shop Manager to ensure the smooth operation of multiple mobile coffee shop locations and special events. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of hospitality management, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service in a fast paced environment. This role requires effective shift management by a self starter/problem solver. River Road prides itself on having extremely high standards when it comes to item creation and consistency and we are looking for someone who is passionate about coffee and providing an outstanding customer experience every time.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the mobile coffee shop, ensuring it is stocked, clean and ready to serve customers
- Craft food and beverages, following recipes and maintaining high standards of quality and consistency
- Manage and train staff as needed, fostering teamwork
- Implement shift management strategies to optimize workflow and enhance service efficiency.
- Maintain quality standards for food and beverage preparation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Control inventory levels, generating lists of needed supplies and placing orders as necessary to ensure product availability while minimizing waste.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, providing solutions that enhance their experience.
- Collaborate with upper management to develop promotional strategies that drive sales and customer engagement, including creating content for social media
- Monitor financial performance, including sales reports and expense tracking, to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in team management within the hospitality or food service industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Familiarity with casual dining environments and best practices in food management.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and food handling safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Previous experience in hotel, restaurant, or coffee shop management is a plus but not required.
