What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver position at River Road Ready Mix Products, Inc?
The Truck Drivers at R3 are responsible for safely and efficiently delivering ready-mix concrete to construction sites. This role includes operating a mixer truck, ensuring proper loading and unloading of materials, and maintaining the quality of the concrete during transport. The driver must comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
-Operate the concrete mixer truck to deliver concrete to customers promptly.
-Monitor the truck’s performance and concrete consistency during transit.
-Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure truck safety and compliance.
-Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
-Keep the truck clean and in good working condition.
-Communicate effectively and professionally with customers at job sites.
-Address any questions or concerns related to the delivery process.
-Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety standards, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
-Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow site-specific safety requirements.
-Maintain accurate delivery tickets, logs, and related documentation.
-Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), Class A or B.
Clean driving record.
Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
Familiarity with local delivery routes and site locations (preferred).
