Join River Rock Academy In-District Services (IDS) as we partner with local school districts to enhance special education by providing BCBAs, Teachers, RBTs, School Counselors, and Behavior Coach’s for their classrooms. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide youth in the program with guidance, support and structure through mentoring and role modeling.
- Maintain accountability of youth from K-12.
- Complete all documentation within the student database.
- May provide physical education class to students.
- Implement appropriate behavior management strategies and techniques.
- Respond to all crisis intervention and use approved Safe Crisis Management techniques as required.
- May provide transportation for students to and from school.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your expertise in behavior management and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to respond to crisis interventions and use approved Safe Crisis Management techniques as required.
- Genuine passion for working with children, demonstrating patience and compassion.
Nice-to-Haves
- An associate's degree or higher or completed at least two years of postsecondary study; or successful completion of a state or locally developed assessment.
- Experience working with children with special needs or autism through volunteer work, employment, or other relevant experiences
