Retail Clerk
STATUS: On-Call
FLSA: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: RREA Board of Directors
SUPERVISES: N/A
WORKING HOURS: This is an hourly position. The incumbent is expected to work the necessary hours to meet the needs and demands of position.
SUMMARY: Assists customers in purchasing merchandise, maintaining inventory, restocking of vending machines, performing clerical support and cashiering responsibilities as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets all guests & offers assistance.
- Maintains a daily log of customer request & or problems.
- Maintains merchandise on display neatly, stocking shelves, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store..
- Marks prices on merchandise as directed & restock merchandise as needed.
- Is able to provide accurate change using a cash register.
- Exceptional customer service and selling skills.
- Acts as a role model and always presents self as a credit to Pomo Ridge Distribution LLC and the Dry Creek Band of Pomo Indians and encourages others to do the same.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies and procedures..
- Attends all required meetings and training.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
- One year prior experience as retail shop clerk preferred.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team.
- Must present professional appearance at all times. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

- Must be able to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.
- Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to all matters pertaining to the gaming enterprise business.
EDUCATION:
- High School Diploma or GED
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are important to the successful conduct of this position. .
- Must be able to speak with the public in a professional manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to maneuver around all areas of the store.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Must have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, kneel, twist and grip items.
- Must be able to respond to visual and audio cues.
