Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and experience in grooming various breeds of dogs and other pets. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services, ensuring the comfort and safety of the animals in your care. Your expertise in animal handling and grooming will contribute to the overall well-being of our furry clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets.
• Assess the health and condition of pets prior to grooming and report any concerns to pet owners.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety during grooming procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets' needs.
• Keep accurate records of services performed on each pet.
• Stay updated on grooming techniques and trends to provide the best service possible.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pet grooming is required.
• Strong skills in dog handling and animal restraint are essential.
• Knowledge of various breeds' grooming requirements is a plus.
• Experience as a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor with animals.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their care is essential.

Pay: $18.56 - $20.71 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
