Responsibilities
Hospitality Aide
- Prepares for new admissions by ensuring rooms are ready and welcome packets are prepared
- Communicates with nursing staff and care team effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Keeps residents room tidy and free of clutter
- Answers call lights and assists residents in a timely manner
- Administers services within the applicable scope of practice
Driver
- Secures passengers’ wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip
- Assists disabled and/or elderly residents in and out of vehicle and in and out of buildings and doctor’s offices when appropriate
- Assists all departments in the delivery and pick-up of other related work items, i.e., x-rays, pharmaceuticals, medical records, mail drop off, etc., while adhering to HIPPA guidelines
- Cleans and services vehicle
- Reports all vehicle repairs, and/or any unsafe or hazardous situations immediately to supervisor
- Remains flexible and available for special occasions and special schedules
- Uses tact and understanding with facility personnel, residents, family members, and outside community contacts
Activities Aide
- Providing hands on involvement in resident programs
- Assist with coordination of resident events and activities
- Assist with maintaining an environment that supports our whole-person wellness culture of resident engagement
- Assist in ensuring resident welcome and engagement protocols are in place
Requirements
- Certification in commercial diving or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly in nursing homes or assisted living environments.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and aging issues counseling is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
- Familiarity with recreational therapy techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in varying underwater conditions.
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks associated with diving activities.
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- No experience required, on-the-job training provided
- Driver License, with clean driving record
- Previous experience working in a healthcare environment preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
