Responsibilities of Activities Assistant:
- Facilitating daily, weekly and monthly events to encourage socialization and recreation for facility residents
- Observing residents throughout the event and assisting with coloring, crafts, and other needs
- Reporting medical concerns to supervisors if needed
- Crafting, coloring, decorating, playing games, etc.
Qualifications for Activities Assistant:
- Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required.
- Prior recreation/activities experience in a nursing home with dementia experience preferred.
- An ability to demonstrate the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
- High School Diploma or GED.
