Job Title: Qualified Medication Aide (QMA)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) to join our skilled nursing facility in Bluffton, IN.
Responsibilities:
- Verify the identity of patients receiving medication and record the name of the drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
- Present medication to patients and observe ingestion or other application, or administer medication as needed.
- Take vital signs or observe patients to detect responses to specified types of medications and prepare reports or notify designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
- Document reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
- Provide direct patient care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients, and assist in examinations and treatments.
- Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to patients.
- Record and restock medication inventories.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a state-approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Program.
- Successful completion of Qualified Medication Aide designation requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
