River Valley Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! Our outpatient care team plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care during appointments by coordinating and executing treatment plans and providing thorough client education.
In this role, you will primarily assist during exams and outpatient care, maintain detailed medical records, review treatment plans, and address clients' questions. Additionally, you will coordinate with your team to manage the veterinarian’s orders, ensuring the highest level of patient care and maintaining an efficient workflow to keep exams running on schedule. This position is ideal for those who excel in client engagement and schedule management as responsibilities will also include answering phones, scheduling appointments and taking payment from clients.
We are open to a full or part-time person, with a 5 / 8, schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday. Every other Saturday is required.
Full-time benefits and compensation :
- Compensation : $17-$19 / hour, based on experience and skillset
- Bonus package : $500 (Three years consistent experience in a VA role)
