Description
Job Summary:
The Intervention Specialist provides supervision and therapeutic services to adult clients of a short-term crisis stabilization unit.
Essential Functions:
- Supervises self-administration of medications of residents and completes required documentation.
- Completes admissions, discharges, and milieu interventions including meal preparation and cleaning tasks.
- Completes activities as per schedule.
- Monitors mental and physical status of residents.
- Completes all unit documentation including shift summaries, MAR, and group notes in a timely manner.
- Reports changes in client status and unit concerns to CSU Director/Nurse Coordinator as indicated.
- Answers telephone and provides information by phone as necessary in adherence with client confidentiality policy.
- Fosters a therapeutic environment by engaging clients in positive interaction and models healthy coping skills.
- Fosters collaborative working relationships among members of the leadership and management teams and programs.
- Other duties as assigned
