Job Summary:
The Outpatient Therapist (Billable) works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor/Director, serving clients in outpatient services. The primary goals of this position are diagnosing and treating behavioral health concerns.
New Mexico Solutions offers a wide array variety of services for adults, children, adolescents and families. The Outpatient Therapist position will:

Provide person centered, therapeutic, clinical services to include both individual and group therapy

Be responsible for treatment planning, risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis intervention when indicated

Complete psychosocial assessments

Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams that includes staff from other programs at NMS.

New Mexico Solutions also provides Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS), Carelink, Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), Assertive Community Treatment, Treatment Foster Care (TFC), Crisis Triage Center Services and Mobile Crisis Services

Engage in ongoing professional development, both to uphold licensure and to continue gaining skills

Utilize an electronic health record to document work daily; therapist should be experienced and efficient working within other electronic systems

Engage in clinical supervision and appropriate meetings
The Outpatient Therapist (Billable) position operates in the office, while also being skilled at working at providing services virtually via telehealth for clients in need of this modality.

Ability to recognize and identify symptoms of mental illness, suicide and risk potential

Excellent verbal and written skills

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required

Ability to keep licensure in good standing
Education and Experience:
• Master’s Degree in a human service related field (including, but not limited to counseling, social work, psychology, etc.)
Licensure/Certification:
-
Must possess one of the following New Mexico licenses: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Art Therapist (LPAT), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Any candidate who can meet state requirements to provide clinical services within their field will be considered.
Physical Demands: May have to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. 80-90% of the time the employee is standing,
walking, kneeling, or reaching in an administrative capacity. Requires full range of body motion. Must have
fine motor skills to perform typing and writing. Emotional stability to handle stressful situations including
unexpected deadlines. Vision and hearing sufficient to perform essential functions. Ability to speak and write.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
