Job Summary:
A Therapist provides clinical services to all clients to ensure that the best possible treatment is provided to assist the client in improving their life.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Excellent clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and treatment planning.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to deal effectively with the public.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with all clients and staff.
- Must exhibit consistent mental and emotional ability to understand and perform the essential functions of the job.
Licensure and Certification:
- Certification and or licensure as required by the state board of the appropriate discipline to provide clinical services (i.e. LCSW, CSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, or LMFTA, etc.).
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Education and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree required in applicable fields as determined by funding agencies. Bachelor’s degree accepted for those employees hired before 10/01/1998.
- Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience preferred, however candidates with less experience who can meet the state requirements to provide clinical services within their field will be considered.
