Job Summary: 

A Therapist provides clinical services to all clients to ensure that the best possible treatment is provided to assist the client in improving their life.

Essential Functions: 

1. Ethics: a.) Provides direct care intervention services to clients in accordance with acceptable ethical principals and practices within the fields of Behavioral Health and their respective disciplines
2. Relations with Employee, Client, & Community Partners: a.) Facilitates training and/ or represents RVBH in community events. b.) Treat clients with dignity, respect and compassion. c.) Interacts with employees and community partners in a professional and respectful manner, displays positive attitude. d.) Advocates for consumers through and with these interactions.
3. Consults with other therapists, physicians, and management regarding clients as needed: a.) Participates in staffings minimum of 2 hours/ month. b.) Remains current on requirements for cases staffed with 90% accuracy.
4. Documentation: a.) Ensures all documentation regarding the treatment services provided is documented in accordance with professional and ethical standards and principles and in conjunction with policies and procedures in this area as evidenced by: b.) Completes Therapy Progress Notes within 24 hours of service delivery. c.) Completes psychosocial bundle, crisis safety plan, and treatment plan as outlined by agency within the first two clinical sessions. d.) Completes terminations and chart closures per agency policy. e.) Participates in quarterly clinical EMR chart reviews. f.) 80% compliance is expected for all charts
5. Professional Development: a.) Completes annual training by due date per training profile requirements for position as maintained by the HR/ Training Department. b.) Ensures required continuing education and licensing requirements are met as required by state boards of the respective disciplines of the Agency. 100% accuracy required and determined by submission of attendance and recertification documentation. c.) Clinical supervision: i. Receives clinical supervision as required by Professional Board of State and per Organization’s policy.
6. Safety: Maintains a safe work environment as evidenced by: a.) Acting in accordance with safety rules as part of clinical practice. i. Sets up office in a safe manner. ii. Makes others aware of difficult clients/ sessions. iii. Reports unsafe conditions to management. b.) Keeps clients safe i. Follows company protocol and practices. ii. Reports incidents to DCBS or appropriate entity as required.
7. Assists in all emergency situations as needed to ensure quality care to all clients in crisis.
8. Engages in collaborative working relationships with OP team members as well as with other agency programs and staff.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

1. Master’s or Doctoral degree required in applicable fields as determined by funding agencies.
2. Minimum of two (2) years’ clinical experience preferred, however candidates with less experience who can meet the state requirements to provide clinical services within their field will be considered.
3. LICENSURE/ CERTIFICATION:
   1. Certification and or licensure as required by the state board of the appropriate discipline to provide clinical services (i.e. LCSW, CSW, LPCC, LPCA, LMFT, or LMFTA, etc.).

Knowledge and Skills: 

1. Excellent clinical skills in assessment, intervention, and treatment planning.
2. Good verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to deal effectively with the public.
4. Ability to maintain confidentiality with all clients and staff.
5. Must exhibit consistent mental and emotional ability to understand and perform the essential functions of the job.
