Job Description
The Project Manager is the day-to-day liaison between the Creative Team and all departments within River Valley. The Project Manager’s priority is to represent the departments to the Creative Team and to, in turn, represent the Creative Team when collaborating with other departments. The Project Manager is key to ensuring timely and successful completion of any and all marketing campaigns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Manager is required to perform a range of duties including, but not limited to:
- Lead point of contact for any and all communication team requests driven by internal departments.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the various departments.
- Obtain a thorough understanding of each departments’ vision and goals, target audience, as well as competing external factors which impact their effectiveness.
- Develop the ability to forecast department needs, so as to ensure preparedness and appropriate workload for the Creative Team.
- Plan, coordinate, and direct department’s marketing campaigns in the Project Manager’s specific area of focus: Events/Global, Local, or Digital (depending on the Creative team’s need).
- Help departments develop a workable marketing strategy for any events and operational needs
- Understand and effectively communicate department’s needs to the experience team
- Effectively plan out campaign needs in a way which maximizes staff time and energy
- Present the Creative Team’s recommendation to the department and negotiate ongoing campaign details until both parties are in agreement.
- Ensure that campaign strategies are implemented on time and within budget. This includes the ability to adjust or redirect strategies as needed.
- Work directly with all vendors for each project
- Select appropriate vendor(s) for each campaign
- Communicate expectations on quality, cost, timeline, etc.
- Negotiate rates, as necessary
- Ensure vendor receives information as necessary and in the appropriate timeline to see project through to completion
- Give final approval on all project work
- Troubleshoot any delays or errors in product order
- Work directly with all vendors for each project
- Communicate clearly the ongoing progress of the various campaign strategies back to the department.
- Provide a detailed summary of the campaigns upon their completion, including a look at the account metrics (i.e. budget, timeliness of implementation, level of department satisfaction, etc.)
- Help departments develop a workable marketing strategy for any events and operational needs
- Responsible for successful and timely completion of church-wide projects ranging from new product launches to print, web, mobile, television and radio advertisements.
- Strategize with management the current and future Creative Team’s ability. This will assist in assessing needs, determining goals and establishing budgets.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of advertising, including but not limited to creative, media, research, and commercial production.

Education
A four-year Bachelor’s Degree is required with preference given to candidates with a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
Successful candidate should have at least 3 to 5 years related experience.

Salary : $46,000 - $49,000
