What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detailer - Powersport & Marine position at River Valley Companies?
River Valley Power & Sport - Marine of Red Wing is looking for a willing team player to join our Service team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, reliable and has experience detailing (auto, marine, RV, powersports). This position will be a mix of the marine and powersports product. Primary duties will be product detailing, which some assistance with the lot and inventory movement.
Compensation : is based on experience, certifications, and qualifications of applicant. Pay structure is a very competitive base hourly wage benefits package. Roughly a $40,000 / annual ($17-21 / hour) opportunity with ability to work more hours seasonally for more $$. Overtime available seasonally.
Schedule : Monday-Friday 40-45hours a week. We offer fulltime work 52 weeks out of the year. Flexible in nature (ability to have earlier start time or stay later in evenings). Service department is open 8AM-6PM
Requirements : Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Detailer experience preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Complete preparation of new and used equipment for customer purchase, showroom floor, and delivery at a pristine level - mainly marine product, some powersport product
- Wash, wax, and buff vehicles, using buffers, steamers, hoses, vacuums, pressure washers, and other equipment to meet service expectations
- Clean interior and exterior of product
- Quarterback with Management on quantity and quality of work within schedule
- Utilize special purpose cleaners to ensure lasting cleanliness
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, moving and parking equipment to correct lot location
- Operating forklift, F150 truck, and tractor
- Proper trailering and securing transport loads
- Moving equipment from the lot to staging to service bays, back to lot
- Working with store manager on product showroom & lot staging
- Maintaining organization and cleanliness on our sales and service lots
- Assist other departments as needed or on special help projects
