What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Maintenance Technician position at River Valley Cooperative?
A Fleet Maintenance Technician provides the essential repairs and maintenance needed to River Valley Cooperative fleet to ensure that high safety standards are met and maintained.
What You'll Do:
- Accurately perform basic service and maintenance procedures to fleet.
- Obtain knowledge and perform brake inspections and repair.
- Obtain knowledge and be proficient in the operation of supplied computer diagnostic equipment.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment.
- Obtain knowledge and perform A/C repair and service.
- Understand operation and repair of hydraulics and associated equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repair of driveline systems.
- Understand operation/repair of electrical systems and basic engine operation and repair.
- Attend courses to build knowledge in fields of repair and maintenance.
- Accurately track and invoice repairs and time allocation on work performed on each unit.
- Always maintain all assigned sites for safe operations to meet the State, Federal and River Valley Cooperative requirements.
- Performs other roles and accepts other responsibility as assigned by the manager.

What You'll bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- General knowledge in repair and maintenance
- Basic computer skills
- Valid Driver's License required. Class A CDL preferred.
Working Conditions:
May be exposed to dust, noise, heat, cold, ag chemicals and vapors, and moving machinery on occasion as part of this position. May be required to work long hours in season, as well as work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.
