What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at River Valley Family Health Center?
River Valley Family Health Centers is looking for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinics in Montrose or Delta Counties. This position has a hiring incentive of $2,000 which will be added to your first paycheck, and $2,000 paid after completion of your first six months of employment!

A day in the life of an LPN includes:
- Performing routine clinical procedures such as taking vitals, performing CLIA waived laboratory tests, taking and documenting patient history and chief complaint, assisting the provider with minor surgical procedures, etc.
- Responding to patient inquiries and performing medical triage for providers.
- Ordering referrals, consultations, and procedures for patients, tracking their results for follow-up.
- Providing health related education and delivery of compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and their families.
Compensation and Benefits
- $22.00 - $26.78 per hour, depending on experience and certifications

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an approved educational program for Licensed Practical Nurses, current and active licensure in the State of Colorado.
- Active BLS Certification.
- I.V. Certification preferred.
- A minimum of one year experience in an ambulatory or clinic health care setting preferred.
- Knowledge of safety and clinical standards.
- Ability to travel between clinics as needed.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with team members, patients, families, and others.
- Ability to utilize a computer for time keeping, documenting electronic medical records, and to complete follow-up tasks.
- A caring, kind, and professional bedside manner.
- Ability to act within scope of the job, requiring critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Bilingual candidates are preferred.
This position requires long periods of standing and walking, sitting at a computer, the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds, etc. Employees are exposed to blood, body fluids, and other occupational hazards, and are required to complete mandatory vaccines, such as Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and the yearly flu vaccine.
