Advanced Practice Provider - Urgent Care

River Valley Family Health Centers is looking for an experienced Advance Practice Provider (APP) to join our Convenience Care Clinic in Delta, Colorado. The APP will provide immediate medical care for patients with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.

The APP position is a limited part-time, hourly nonexempt position; 14 hours per week (Sunday & Monday). We are a growing, exciting place to work, serving our community in a variety of ways. Come join our integrated team that is passionate about community health!

A day in the life of an APP includes:

• Providing direct patient care to patients by assessing patient health, performing physical examinations, and obtaining health histories.
• May perform therapeutic procedures by administering injection, suturing, casting, splinting, removal of foreign bodies, inspecting wounds, etc.
• Provide patient education at time of service, including anticipatory guidance, information about chronic care, disease prevention, and the promotion of health maintenance.
• Collaborates with Behavioral Health, Primary Care, and Dental Providers to encourage integrated health.

• $57.11 - $63.34 per hour, depending on experience and certifications

Qualifications

• Unrestricted and current PA-C Certification with NCCPA, or current FNP license in the State of Colorado, and DEA registration
• X-Waiver Certification preferred
• Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certification
• Knowledge of public health principles and practices preferred.
• Ability to travel between clinics as needed.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with team members, patients, families, and others.
• Ability to utilize a computer for time keeping, documenting electronic medical records, and to complete follow-up tasks.
• A caring, kind, and professional bedside manner.
• Ability to be a team player and to support and assist team members as needed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.

This position requires long periods of standing and walking, sitting at a computer, the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds, etc. Employees are exposed to blood, body fluids, and other occupational hazards, and are required to complete mandatory vaccines, such as Tdap, Hep A, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, and the yearly flu vaccine.
