River Valley, a growing specialty foods and consumable products distributor in Syracuse, NY, is searching for full time First Shift Warehouse Team Lead . The River Valley family of companies : River Valley Foods, Cavallaro Foods and Garden Spot Foods, distributes a wide range of specialty dry and frozen grocery items and consumable products out of warehouses in Syracuse, NY and New Holland, PA.
The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible to coach, train employees and present themselves in a positive manner while leading by example and maintaining a safe and positive work environment.
The Team Lead reports to the Supervisor on duty.

Arrive prior to employees' shift allowing Team Lead to obtain and discuss day's work schedule with SupervisorAllocate orders
Input letdownsConduct a shift startup meeting with employeesSafety, SQF topic and any other need to know informationTake attendanceLead group stretchPerform a pre-operation inspection of any equipment being usedWalk aisles throughout shiftMonitor employees' behavior
