What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse Professional position at River Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center?
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role at River Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center, providing high-quality direct care to our tenants under the supervision of the RN or AL Clinical Manager. Key responsibilities include implementing interventions delegated, ordered, or prescribed by the RN or physician, collecting tenant health data, and comparing it to normal findings and established current health status.
The LPN is responsible for developing and modifying the tenant Plan of Care, participating in ongoing assessments, and reporting changes and/or responses to interventions. Effective communication with unlicensed nursing staff is also crucial, assigning and monitoring tasks while clarifying expectations and addressing behaviors as needed.
To succeed in this position, candidates must possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Required qualifications include completion of a professional nursing education program approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing, current Minnesota License as a Practical Nurse, and current Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and emergency care.
