What are the responsibilities and job description for the GENERAL MUSIC TEACHER, GRADES 4-6 position at RIVER VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT?
Preferred applicants will hold a Wisconsin certification to teach general music with a focus on vocal music and choir in grades 5 and 6. The candidate will have a passion for developing students’ musical literacy, creativity, and appreciation for music through active participation in singing, instruments, movement, and performance opportunities. Expertise in general and vocal music instruction, including knowledge of a variety of musical styles, instruments, and age-appropriate pedagogy. A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth, staying current with best practices in music education and instrumental pedagogy. The applicant must possess a student-centered approach, effective instructional skills, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
