We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Superintendent to join our metal manufacturing/fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish and will be responsible for coordinating various projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Oversee all phases of construction projects from initial planning to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage on-site construction teams, including subcontractors, laborers, and other personnel. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. Conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly.
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure timely progress.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and report on financial performance. Identify and address any cost overruns or budgetary concerns.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies. Provide regular updates on project status and progress.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction. Implement solutions to keep projects on track.
Requirements:
- Proven 3-5 years of experience as a General superintendent or similar role in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in metal manufacturing or fabrication industry.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
