What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teller position at Riverbank Federal Credit Union?
OVERVIEW:
Serve as a liaison between the member and the Credit Union, providing professional, friendly service, support and information to members in person and on the telephone consistent with the Credit Union's mission and vision statements, policies and procedures, and strategic goals. Open accounts for members, resolve issues and handle the member’s daily needs. Provide a variety of transactional services as requested, following established policies and procedures. Identify and cross-sell Credit Union products and services to improve the member’s financial life.
Essential Functions and Primary Duties:
1. Greet and welcome members and visitors to the Credit Union in a professional manner. Provide prompt, efficient and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
2. Responsible for maintaining an acceptable attendance and punctuality record as outlined in personnel policy.
3. Provide member assistance in person and by telephone, identifying appropriate products and services to meet the member’s needs. Refer the member to the appropriate staff member if unable to complete their request and ensure the member is properly connected to the appropriate staff member. Complete a Member Compliant Form when necessary.
4. Responsible for handling all negotiable items in a safe, accurate, controlled and professional manner. Must maintain an acceptable balancing and member processing record as outlined in performance standards policy.
5. Accurately process debit card applications, internet home banking member maintenance, check reorders, and other non-transactional member requests. Accurately process Shared Branching transactions according to Shared Branching policy and procedures.
6. Maintain a current knowledge of all applicable state and federal laws and regulations to ensure regulatory compliance. Follow all procedures related to BSA/CIP/OFAC.
7. Maintain a current knowledge of Information Security Guidelines and all technology products including but not limited to internet and mobile banking, mobile deposit, bill pay, and eSign.
8. Provide a positive professional business atmosphere which includes proper dress, appropriate communication with co-workers and members, organized work and work area, and accurate completion of daily duties.
9. Open new accounts, and promote credit union products and services based on member’s needs
10. Know all Credit Union products and services and match to member needs, cross-selling during member interactions.
11. Ensure all area daily duties (night drop, scanning, mail, new account packets and form copying, etc.) are completed accurately and efficiently. Ensure duties are completed by designated times.
12. Open and close the drive thru and lobby as assigned.
13. Responsible for new member touchpoints and tracking as part of In-Touch program (for full time MSR’s)
14. Responsible for attaining monthly sales goals.
15. Responsible for individual ongoing duties as assigned.
16. Must be available to work on Saturdays.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
2. 1 years of cash handling experience preferably in a Credit Union or Bank environment.
3. 1 years of member/customer service experience.
4. Strong verbal communication skills required.
5. Computer and internet skills.
Hours For Position
Monday - 10:00 am - 4:15 pm
Thursday - 10:00 am - 6:15 pm
Friday - 10:00 am - 5:15 pm
Saturday - 8:45 am - 12:45 pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
