Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietary Manager to oversee the nutritional care of our residents. Duties
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the dietary needs of residents.
- Supervise and train dietary staff, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage budgeting for food services, including inventory control and cost-effective purchasing.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess residents' nutritional needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Provide health coaching to residents, educating them on proper nutrition and dietary choices.
- Oversee meal preparation and presentation, ensuring high-quality dining experiences.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in dietetics, physiology, and nutrition to inform practices.
- Administer tube feeding protocols as necessary for residents requiring specialized nutritional support.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dietary management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of dietetics principles, including physiology and nutrition science.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management within a food service context.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
- Familiarity with care plans and health coaching techniques is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff.
- Certification in Dietetics or a related field is advantageous.
