The Opportunity: Sunday-Thursday 7a-3p
The primary function of this position is to provide clinical assessment, intervention, treatment, and aftercare planning for the residents in our sober housing assisted program.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise and monitor the health and safety of clients in the program.
2. Provide counseling/therapy of a client caseload, monitoring of client progress, notification of significant client changes that warrant clinical, medical, and/or further intervention.
3. Timely completion of EHR services including, but not necessarily limited to intakes, assessments, treatment plans, releases of information, progress monitoring, collateral contacts, case management notes, presence in program/ completion/ discharge letters, incident reports.
4. Facilitate regular individual counseling/therapy sessions assisting clients to
maintain stability, manage crises, and identify appropriate aftercare supports
during a short-term, intensive program setting.
5. Facilitate treatment by utilizing own expertise and/or curricula material that supports the recovery, behavioral, and holistic health of all clients in an appropriate and ethical manner.
6. Support Riverbend in developing, enhancing, evolving, and/or maintaining an
appropriate and safe clinical setting for the program.
7. Attend and participate in weekly clinical group supervision with the
multidisciplinary team.
8. Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings facilitated by the Clinical Director.
9. Attend and participate in regular individual supervision and performance evaluations with the Clinical Director.
10. Recognize, promote, and support the integration of SOAP services among the continuum of care offered in Riverbend.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Physical demands
1. Must be able to sit or stand for an extended period.
2. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Required education and experience
1. A bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines or a closely related field: clinical psychology, education-counseling, medicine, psychology, psychiatric nursing,
rehabilitative counseling, social work, and who has a minimum of one year of supervised substance abuse counseling experience; or
2. A bachelor’s degree in any of the listed disciplines and a minimum of two years of
supervised substance abuse counseling experience; or
3. A recognized certification or licensure including 4,000 hours of clinically supervised counseling of individuals with substance use disorders including at least 220 documented hours of supervision.
Must become CPR trained if not already and participate in once-a-month online training.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. Professional licensure preferred (e.g., Massachusetts LMHC, LICSW, LADC I)
This position requires the successful completion of a CORI check.
