The Opportunity
The Program Director is an intergral part of how our residentials operate and much our clients feel at home in them. As the program Director you will be responsible for all administrative, managerial, and personnel-related functions of the program. As well as fiscal management and oversight of the program.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the staff positions of Clinical Director, House Coordinator, Recovery Specialist, Direct Care, Awake Overnight, and ancillary volunteers.
- Develops and manages the weekly staff schedule to meet DPH licensing standards and ratio for the program model.
- Assists with the oversight and monitoring of Medication Administration program; proper storage and security, updated information, accountability of medication counts and documentations per regulatory standards.
- Coordinates the scheduling of staff trainings to meet regulatory requirements and manages staff training documentation to maintain current compliance.
- Oversees the House Coordinator in coordinating the facilitation of daily/weekly client household chores.
- Assuring Safe Serve certificate, Board of Health inspection and the town of Lawrence certifications are current and maintaining compliance.
- Personnel management, including the hiring, training, and orientation of new staff.
- Oversee Clinical Director in the supervision of case managers and all case management responsibilities, including all EHR documentation.
- Oversee Clinical Director in billing and authorizations to ensure proper financial records and insurance reimbursement for services rendered.
- Oversee Clinical Director in development of programming.
- Complete performance evaluations for direct reports.
- Assist Intake Coordinator and Clinical Director with the oversight and facilitation of referral/waitlist/intakes.
- Monthly DPH contract billing submitted to CFO or Riverbend designee.
- Provide staff supervision to direct reports
- Manage and approve weekly staff timesheets, and submit them promptly.
- Maintain current Policy and Procedure manuals on-site per DPH regulations.
- Purchasing and ordering office and household supplies, as deemed necessary.
- Oversee the House Coordinator in Facilitating and coordinating the food shopping for the program.
- Monitor and facilitate self-preservation regulatory standards for clients.
- Oversight of the physical environment and maintenance in coordination with landlords and departments to comply with safety standards.
- Assists with client chart reviews for internal quality assurance.
- Provide Crisis Intervention (client and programmatic issues).
- Utilizing overdose and prevention training (Narcan) if needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Addictions, Psychology, or related field, required.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience working in the Addiction Recovery field.
- Excellent organizational, training, and time management skills
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word & Excel and Electronic Health Records.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:
- Directly reports to the Division Director of Residential Services
- Direct Reports of this position are House Coordinator, Recovery Specialist, Direct Care, Awake Overnight, and Ancillary volunteers.
The position has on-call responsibilities. As part of this position, the Program Director will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by Riverbend. A successful CORI check is required.
