Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for patients with wounds, injuries, or post-surgical incisions. This role requires strong clinical skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Duties:
- Assessing and monitoring wounds to track healing progress
- Developing and implementing individualized wound care treatment plans
- Performing wound debridement and dressing changes
- Educating patients and caregivers on wound care techniques and prevention strategies
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements:
- Valid RN license with Wound Care Certification (WCC) preferred
- Previous experience in wound care management, preferred
- Proficiency in sterile processing techniques and infection control practices
- Knowledge of basic life support (BLS) protocols
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide empathetic patient care
