Job Summary :
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Assistant (RCA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality care to our residents. In this role, you will assist residents with daily living activities, support their physical and emotional needs, and contribute to a safe and welcoming community.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide personal care and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and exercise routines.
Monitor and record vital signs, and report any significant changes in residents’ health to nursing staff.
Support residents with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met.
Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Establish and maintain respectful, compassionate relationships with residents and their families.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, following infection control protocols.
Document care provided and communicate effectively with team members regarding resident care and concerns.
Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties as needed to ensure a comfortable living space for residents.
Participate in training and continuing education opportunities to enhance caregiving skills.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide preferred.
Previous experience in a caregiving role, particularly in assisted living or healthcare settings, is a plus.
Compassionate, empathetic, and patient demeanor.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina to assist residents with mobility and daily activities.
Basic understanding of healthcare practices and protocols.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willing to obtain.
