Position Overview
Riverdale’s Mathematics Department seeks an enthusiastic and collegial educator to teach Upper School Math and to provide leadership in developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum for our Upper School Math program. We seek candidates comfortable teaching a variety of Math courses from Algebra 1 through our upper level courses in Calculus and Advanced Math. This candidate will work with the Department Chair and Middle School Math Specialist to develop the Math department’s scope and sequence for Math 6 through Calculus.

Necessary Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field from an accredited college or university
- Experience with developing a comprehensive and aligned math curriculum for the Upper School math courses
- 3-5 years experience teaching at the Middle and/or Upper School level.
- Can effectively develop and teach both introductory and advanced math classes
- Intentionally builds and sustains an inclusive learning environment for all students.
- An interest in engaging students in an environment that is both supportive and rigorous
- An interest in growing Riverdale’s math program for students to address real problems through problem-based learning
- A desire to participate in community activities including advising groups, service opportunities, or other co-curriculars.
