Reports To: Warehouse Lead
Summary/Objective
The Dry Supply/Inventory Specialist position reports directly to the Warehouse Lead and Ware-house Manager. Responsibilities will include receiving, issuing supplies, handling, and account-ing for inventories within Riverence facilities.
Essential Functions
- Perform general warehouse duties – including truck loading and unloading, staging of product both fresh and frozen packaging, general housekeeping, and keeping a safe clean work environment.
- Issue materials, supplies, and equipment to employees in processing, farms, research, specialty, and corporate.
- Maintain vendor relationships and provide good customer service to all vendors.
- The position will be required to undertake a “trainer” role when new personnel are being trained within the warehouse.
- Maintain a leadership role in the development of warehousing systems to augment overall efficiency within the department.
- Set the example for warehouse personnel and adhered to per warehouse job descriptions, procedures, and policies.
- Receives incoming supplies, materials, and product.
- Confirms that delivered goods match purchase order, specifications of quantity, condition and completes all necessary incoming paperwork.
- Control packaging and other inventory and reconcile physical counts with Software inventory daily.
- Ensure proper rotation of product FIFO (first in first out) unless approved by the Warehouse Manager.
- Work with other departments on inventory, sales samples, and other requirements.
- Be aware of anything out of the ordinary (Freezer temperatures, dock storage temperatures, fans, water leakage, etc.) and report it to department manager.
- Fulfill regular warehouse duties when not conducting inventory or staging as directed by Warehouse Lead.
- Utilize reporting to project inventory usage ensuring proper inventory level of packaging products are available for shipping and processing.
- Work with accounting group on End of Month reconciliation of fresh and frozen shipped packaging.
- Rotation of on duty shifts - includes some Saturday and holiday work.
- Communicate with Warehouse Lead about Safety concerns or other issues.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance and Floor Leads to provide reconciliation with physical count discrepancies and manifested.
- The position is required to work independently of direct supervision for ongoing periods of time and performs the necessary job requirements.
- Ability to provide clear concise guidance to warehouse employees and follow up with warehouse lead.
- Miscellaneous Duties as assigned.

- Ability to work in temperature ranges from 60 Degree’s Fahrenheit to -10 Degrees Fahrenheit.

Work Environment
The worker is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions and occasional outside conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The worker is subject to noise and moving equipment. The worker can be subject to cold and wet conditions on a regular basis.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk; and handle product or operate equipment. The employee must occasionally climbing latter’s, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
The work often will be required to have a range of motion as follows:
- Ability to lift up to 65 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
- Often requires walking or moving to accomplish tasks.
- Often requires working on a concrete floor for sustained periods of time.
- Occasionally requires stooping and reaching.
- Occasionally requires pushing using upper extremities to press against something with steady force.
- Occasionally requires pulling using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
- Lifting is required on a constant basis.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Monday Through Friday weekends as needed

Travel
Some local travel may be required.
Required Education and Experience
- Demonstrable record keeping and organizational skills.
- Fundamental math skills and use of Microsoft Excel.
- Qualified in Fork Lift operation.
- Understand how to use, input, and maintain information in all necessary forms using Microsoft Office programs.
- Fundamental knowledge of writing standard operating procedures.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience with of Innova or other software preferred
